Often called camper vans, Class Bs are a mid-size camping option that is much smaller than the largest RVs, the Class A. Common van chassis include the Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, and Ram Promaster. These small but powerful campers can be basic—think bed and storage—not full of extras like bathrooms, dining areas, or room to sleep many people. The biggest drawback is that you don’t get as much space or amenities compared to Class As and Cs, but there are also benefits to the Class B; they come with great 4×4 options, get good fuel economy, can fit in many parking spots, can stay off the grid, and are easy to drive!
